I'm extremely sad to say that my buddy "Big Boy" AKA ELVIS was killed by a car 3 mornings ago. Losing him so suddenly, especially in such a tragic way feels unbearable. He was not just any cat he was "the cat’s cat," with that special laid-back charm that made everyone love him. He was my buddy and held such a special place in this family. He was truly like my child and I love him so much. The emptiness and void that I feel in his absence is overwhelming. The bond we shared, his presence in my lap with his hear always resting on my knee, his cool and funny personality; he was a talker he loved to give you an assortment of meow's that meant something different—it’s no wonder this loss cuts so deeply. The small solace that I have is that every morning we would walk together to the back door where he would look out into the back yard and then look up at me and meow saying ok I'm ready to go out and I would reach down and rub his back and head and say ok please be careful remember that I love you was something I always told him the last words I said to him. Who knew it would be the last time. Always remember to tell them that you love them. He will always be a part of me and I will always miss him and love him. Rest my boy I LOVE YOU!
